Winter is a distinctive and highly expressive black-and-white LUT suitable for nearly any shooting scenario. Designed with a raised black point and lowered white point, it imparts a subtle filmic texture, making it ideal for use with film grain effects, whether for in-camera output or post-production. In terms of exposure, the Winter LUT offers considerable flexibility: slightly underexposing yields deeper, more emotionally intense monochrome imagery, while slight overexposure produces a softer, lighter black-and-white effect. When using this LUT with Panasonic LUMIX series cameras, I typically set the base photo style to Leica Monochrome to fully leverage its unique visual character. Depending on the specific scene, it also pairs excellently with other monochrome photo styles or black-and-white picture profiles.
